Easter Chocolates

The holidays can be challenging when many of them seem to be celebrated with chocolate! Parents can also find it is expensive when your child is dairy free. If you are looking for a way that you can give your child some chocolate treats, here are some yummy recipes they will be sure to love!

Makes about 10 Chocolates

Plain Chocolates

1/4 tsp coconut oil

Melt chocolate and oil on the lowest heat, stirring often, then spooned into mold.

I let the chocolate get to room temperature in the mold then I put it in the fridge to harden. If you try to take it out too soon it will stick in the mold, so make sure it has completely hardened.

Chocolate Peanut Butter

1 tbsp peanut butter

Melt chocolate and peanut butter on the lowest heat, stirring often, then spooned into mold. I let the chocolate get to room temperature then I put it in the fridge to harden. If you take it out too soon it will stick in the mold, so make sure it has completely hardened.

Crispy Chocolates

1/4 tsp coconut oil

2 tbsp Crispy Rice Cereal (gluten free)

Melt only the chocolate, on the lowest heat, stirring often. Then remove from heat and add Crispy Rice Cereal, stir and spoon into mold.I let the chocolate get to room temperature then I put it in the fridge to harden. If you take it out too soon it will stick in the mold.

Tip: Try not to handle the chocolate much as it will begin to melt in your hands

Tip: Don't put chocolate in the freezer.

Tip: Wash chocolate molds the night before so it is clean and dry when you use it.

Tip: I was able to find these chocolate molds at the Bulk Barn.
